Hamam, Sauna & Massage: How to Plan Your Spa Day in Nişantaşı

4 min read

One of the most common questions we hear is how to combine hamam, sauna and massage into a single visit, and how much time to set aside. Here's a simple way to plan it.

A sensible order: sauna, hamam, then massage

If you are combining all three, we usually suggest starting with a short sauna session to gently warm the body, moving into the hamam for the scrub and foam wash, and finishing with a massage once your muscles are already relaxed and warm. This order tends to make the massage feel even more effective.

That said, there is no strict rule — some guests prefer a massage first and a hamam afterward to unwind. Tell us what you would like and we will build the order around you.

How much time to set aside

A single treatment — just a hamam, or just a massage — typically takes 45 to 75 minutes depending on the option. Combining all three comfortably takes around two to two and a half hours including time to relax in the lounge afterward, so it works well as a half-day plan rather than squeezed between other errands.

  • Sauna: 10-15 minutes
  • Hamam: 45-60 minutes
  • Massage: 45-75 minutes depending on the style and length you choose

Fitting it into an Istanbul itinerary

Nişantaşı is a quieter, more residential district than the main tourist areas, which makes it a pleasant place to end a day of sightseeing rather than rush through. Many guests book a late afternoon slot after a morning of exploring the city, then head to dinner nearby feeling genuinely rested rather than just checked off a list.

If you are visiting with a partner or friend, every treatment can be booked as a couples session in side-by-side rooms — just let us know when you message us.
